A website isn’t just for show

Fancy design is fun, but usability wins every time.

What’s the difference between a pretty website and a good website?

A pretty website might win design awards. A good website actually helps your business grow.

And for me, that’s non-negotiable.

There are two things I don’t budge on when it comes to websites:

1. Design With a Purpose

Your website isn’t just there to exist—it needs to work for you. That means making sure it’s clear, accessible, and easy to navigate so visitors know exactly what to do next. Fancy layouts, trendy fonts, and wild animations? Cool if they serve a purpose, but if they get in the way of usability, they’re out.

2. Pretty Doesn’t Pay the Bills

I won’t just design something that looks good—I want it to get you results. Good design isn’t just about aesthetics; it’s about strategy. If it’s a choice between what’s “cool” and what actually helps people take action on your site, I’ll always advocate for the option that works. Because what’s the point of a website that looks beautiful but doesn’t convert?

These are two things I won’t compromise on. Because at the end of the day, a website isn’t just a design—it’s a tool to grow your business.

When checking if your website is actually working for your business, ask yourself:

  • Is it clear what I do within the first few seconds?

  • Is there a next step for visitors to take? (“Learn More” isn’t enough.)

  • Does my site feel easy to navigate, or do visitors have to hunt for info?

If your site looks great but isn’t converting, it might be time for a refresh. Function and beauty should go hand in hand.
