Big Vibes for 2025 Design Trends

I’m popping into your inbox with a couple of links this week.

Squarespace just dropped its predictions for 2025 design trends, and some big vibes are coming. My favorite? The emphasis on text-centric design, like Just My Type.

This reminds me of a website I launched earlier this year for Invisible Hurdle:

Another trend I’m excited about is Vivid Glow—exactly the look I’m working on for one of the templates in the my upcoming template shop.

While I love looking at the upcoming trends, I’m not a trendy designer.

When I design, I create what works best for you—your business, goals, and audience. A bold, text-heavy site isn’t for everyone, and neither is an ultra-vivid design.

There is always the concern that something trendy will look cringy in a few years, but if it’s your brand, it will not be cringy.

Quick Tip:

Privacy policies aren’t optional anymore. Even if you don’t have a contact form (why don’t you have a contact form?!), your website collects data—and privacy laws require you to disclose what you do with it.

My go-to for this? Termageddon.

  • They do the boring job of monitoring ever-changing state laws for you.

  • They auto-update your privacy policy, so you can “set it and forget it.”

Their team just flagged 5 states with new laws coming in January 2025. All I have to do is answer a few questions, and I’m good to go.
