Need content ideas? Here's a cool resource!

Have you ever sat down at the computer with a plan to write about blog post, maybe a couple of social media posts only to stare at a blinking cursor?

This happens to me all the time. Usually I find something to distract me (probably a cute, fuzzy puppy) and then try to get back to writing.

It’s not the best process.

Something that has helped me break the blank-page-syndrome is the site answerthepublic.com

It’s super cool - you put in a keyword or two, click search and it gives you the “who, what, how, when, are” questions that people are typing into Google.

You get to see what people are asking, so you can write content to answer those questions - no more guessing if someone actually cares about what you have to say.

Quick Tip:

Last week, I promised I would talk about why accessibility matters in design. First, here’s some numbers that really do matter:

  • Individuals with disabilities control $1.2 trillion (with a T!) worldwide in annual disposable income.

  • 55% had abandoned a purchase due to accessibility issues, according to a UK survey, which led to potentially £120 billion forfeited by retailers

  • 28.7% of adults have a disability, according to the CDC

  • Over 2,200 website accessibility lawsuits were filed in 2023

Those are some big numbers. If your website isn’t accessible, your business is probably losing out on money.

No one likes that.

There’s some great tools that help with accessibility compliance. Next week, I’m going to share a some design tips for website accessibility. Don’t worry, your site can still look badass and be compliant. Promise!

Upcoming on October 16:

I’m planning a free workshop about website strategy, connecting with your target audience, and of course, website accessibility.

When: October 16 at 1pm MT

Where: Zooooooom

Talk soon!
