Pricing on your website: yes or no?
Clear pricing = better leads. Let’s save your inbox (and sanity).
My friend is getting married later this year, and she’s very good at research. Over the past few months, she’s looked through hundreds of vendor websites—from venues to photographers to entertainment. Her biggest gripe?
Not many websites list pricing.
I know listing prices is a hot topic, but your website’s job is to answer potential clients’ most important questions before they book a call with you. And one of the most important questions is, “Can I afford this?”
When your pricing isn’t listed, here’s what happens:
A potential client reaches out, excited to work with you… only to find out you’re out of their budget.
You both waste time on emails or discovery calls that lead to disappointment.
You feel deflated because you lost a lead, and they feel frustrated because they’ve hit a dead end.
It’s a lose-lose situation.
Including pricing on your website clears up all that struggle.
If you own a business with bespoke pricing, then including a ‘starting at’ price or a pricing range is still a way to save time and build trust. It shows you’re confident in the value you provide and that you’re a professional who pays attention to the details.
Most importantly, including pricing on your website makes it easier to connect with the right clients—the ones who see your value and are ready to work with you.
If your pricing isn’t listed, you’re making it harder than it needs to be (for you and for them).
So, take a moment to ask yourself: Is your website doing its job, or is it just making you work harder?
Quick Tip:
Worried about scaring people off with your prices? Flip the script—clients who value your work will appreciate your transparency. Including pricing (even just a range) helps build trust and shows you’re confident in your value.
